Week 28A Discussion – Bishop Kani
Proverbs 31 or 31 Problems?
-
Matthew 11:4-5
-
4 [Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:]
-
5 [The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.]
-
Christ was telling them to go and heal the people. Our people are broken and it is our job to heal them.
-
It is not possible to heal those who do not want to be healed.
-
6 [And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.]
-
If the word of God irritates you in any way, then you must examine yourself and realize that you have a problem with God.
-
The scriptures are given to us to heal us, so we cannot be offended when we hear them.
-
Offend (Merriam Webster)
-
to cause difficulty, discomfort, or injury
-
to cause dislike, anger, or vexation
-
Psalms 119:164-168
-
164 [Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.]
-
We must learn to thank God for His righteous judgements.
-
165 [Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.]
-
Loving the laws of God equals peace.
-
If there is no peace in a relationship, it is likely that either one or both of the couple has an issue with the laws of God.
-
In a marriage, if an argument is recurring constantly, it is an indication that someone does not love the Lord.
-
The scriptures are to help reveal what we are lacking.
-
2 Timothy 3:16 [All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:]
-
166 [LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.]
-
We all hope to receive salvation, and do the commandments because we are not offended by them.
-
167 [My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.]
-
We should love the law when it reveals to us the the secret characteristics and thoughts we have that are not right with God and gives us the ability to change them.
-
Those that are bothered by correction are those who despise the laws of God. We are blessed because loving the law brings us closer to salvation.
-
The first years in this truth is about learning the law and most of the changes are outward. After this you learn to better examine yourself and how to deal with the inner man We must not be okay with allowing provisions with the flesh. If we do, there is something within our spirit that is not right with God.
-
168 [I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.]
-
They are asking the Lord to look at their integrity because they are not offended by the law.
-
Integrity (Merriam Webster)
-
firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values : incorruptibility
-
Synonyms: righteousness, honesty, virtue
-
You can tell a person’s true nature by what offends them.
-
Hebrews 13:4,1
-
4 [Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.]
-
1 [Let brotherly love continue.]
-
The Lord is telling us that in marriage, husband and wife should have the love as brothers.
-
1 Peter 3:8 [Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:]
-
With brothers, we deal with each other because we genuinely care for each other without having a ulterior motive or endgame. With women, men generally deal with them for sex at the end of things.
-
As brothers who hang out are usually of the same mind, a woman must work to have the same mind of her husband so he will be interested in her for more than just sex.
-
4 [Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.]
-
-
It is a good thing in God’s eyes to take a wife/husband.
-
God will judge whoremongers and adulterers.
-
1 Corinthians 6:15
-
15 [Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.]
-
16 [What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.]
-
You become one with a harlot when you join yourself with her, showing us that there is a connection that is created through intimacy. This is also true between a husband and a wife. The connection facilitates being of one mind.
-
A woman is putting herself is the most vulnerable position she can be in when giving herself to a man. Obeying a man should be easier to do.
-
The vulnerability comes from after a man has had sex, if he leaves, the woman is left with the consequences of that decision, whether is is a baby or STD.
-
Women who do not listen either do not want to be connected to her husband and be of the same mind, or wants her husband to have her mind to follow her instead of being in order.
-
1 Corinthians 6:17-20
-
17[But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.]
-
A man who follows the Lord becomes one spirit with the Lord, and subsequently the wife would become one spirit with her husband.
-
18 [Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.]
-
19 [What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?]
-
Our bodies do not belong to us and are the temples of God where he is housed. God made the woman for her husband and not the man made for the woman.
-
1 Corinthians 11:8-9 [For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. 9Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.]
-
The purpose of the woman was to be a help meet for the man.
-
Genesis 2:18 [And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.]
-
20 [For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.]
-
You glorify God by your actions (how you behave) and your thoughts.
-
For women, a silent and loving wife is a gift from God.
-
Sirach 26:14 [A silent and loving woman is a gift of the Lord; and there is nothing so much worth as a mind well instructed.]
-
There are some women who glorify their husband in their body by their actions (by serving you) but despise it in their spirit.
-
The Most High is looking at thoughts mainly because your actions come from what you are thinking.
-
Jeremiah 6:19 [Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.]
-
Proverbs 23:7 [For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.]
-
To be in order, a woman’s thoughts should also be that she has to be subservient to her husband.
-
Subservient (Google dictionary)
-
prepared to obey others unquestioningly.
-
serving as a means to an end.
-
If a man does not see his wife as a pillar of rest, or if a woman does not see her husband as the lord in the home, there are some problems that need to be dealt with. A spouse should find joy in being near the other.
-
1 Corinthians 7:1
-
1 [Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.]
-
Paul has said to flee fornication, but at the same time is telling the men that life is better to not have a woman.
-
2 [Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.]
-
Paul is saying even though it is better, the urge for a woman is too strong for many.
-
Matthew 19:7-11
-
7 [They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?]
-
They are asking why did Moses give a law of divorcement if it there was not supposed to be divorce from the beginning.
-
8 [He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.]
-
Christ told the apostles the law was created because of our own hardness in the relationship. Many people stay in a relationship when secretly that have become hardened in toward their spouse in the marriage. In some relationships, once the “honeymoon phase” ends, there is nothing of substance left to nurture the relationship or there is disorder that comes into play where the woman no longer thinks to be subservient to her husband.
-
9 [And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.]
-
If you put away your wife for anything other than fornication and you both marry another, you are guilty of fornication for the both of you, and the those that were married to, because you caused your wife to also commit adultery.
-
10 [His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.]
-
They figured that it was better not to marry if this applied because they were thinking that a wife could give them many problems, but as long as she did not commit adultery, they could not get rid of her.
-
11 [But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.]
-
Not all men have that self-restraint to not have the need of a woman. Only a gift from God could grant a man the spirit to resist a woman sexually.
-
The power given to women by God, if used righteously, would allow them to get whatever they desire from their husband.
-
If a sister uses the power that God gave them righteously, there is nothing that she cannot get from her man.
-
1 Corinthians 7:2 [Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.]
-
The multiple wives doctrine is not biblical.
-
Many who follow that doctrine are not able to support them all.
-
Sex is not free, the man will have to pay one way or another.
-
Men and women should value themselves. We must examine if the other is worthy enough to further your line.
-
Genesis 2:18 [And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.]
-
God saw that it is good that man should not be alone. Women were created to be a help meet. The sisters should see this as being an honor because they were chosen to be for the Sons of God. It is prestigious to be the daughters, and sisters of the Sons of God.
-
1 Corinthians 7:27 [Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.]
-
If you have a wife don't go away from her (get rid of her).
-
If you don’t not have a wife, do not be focused on looking for one and you should be focused on the ministry. We do not get out of here until the 144k are met. Our concern is doing the job we are hired to do without distraction. Our focus is to love God and that will determine how we deal with the women.
-
1 Corinthians 7:35 [And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.]
-
An example of distraction is 1 Corinthians 7:28 [But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.]
-
The work begins after marriage, because the minds have to become in sync. It cannot happen overnight. Children, family, and friends can come and go, but marriage is forever. After the thrill of sex wears off there still must be something there to keep you together.
-
1 Corinthians 11:8-9 [For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.]
-
The woman is of and made for the man.
-
Men had to tell the church of Corinth this because the men were letting the women run the church. The women of today do not like that order.
-
Adam did not help in doing his job, it was to be a comfort so he would not deal with the women of the other nations.
-
9 [Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.]
-
1 Corinthians 7:35-38
-
35 [And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.]
-
36 [But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.]
-
37 [Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.]
-
If you are bethrothed and you do not sleep with her, it is no sin for her to grow old past the age of reproduction without sex. A man would do this if they wish to serve the Lord without distraction, however, a man like that is not common. Proof that the woman was made for the man.
-
38 [So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.]
-
For the ones that we do sleep with, it is supposed to be a privilege for her to serve her husband.
-
Genesis 3:16 [Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.]
-
Definition of desire – strong feeling of wanting something, craving, yearning
-
-
In sorrow bring children (labor pains)
-
Whatever your husband’s wants are, it is your desire to please him. Women must be like this to her husband as we are to Christ.
-
Sirach 7:26 [Hast thou a wife after thy minde? forsake her not, but giue not thy selfe ouer to a light woman.]
-
If you have a wife after you mind do not forsake them or leave them for another woman, especially one that is lightminded; but if you don’t, forsake her.
-
Definition of forsake – abandon (someone or something):
-
In this case, it is not
-
Tobit 4:5 [My sonne, be mindfull of the Lord our God all thy dayes, and let not thy will be set to sinne, or to transgresse his Commandements: doe vprightly all thy life long, and follow not the wayes of vnrighteousnesse.]
-
Be mindful of the Lord. Our mind should be after the Lord and your wife’s mind after ours in order to have peace in the Lord. We cannot demand something that we are not doing, but also if your husband is not doing it, does it mean that the woman does not have to listen which would go against the divine order.
-
1 Peter 3:1 [Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;]
-
2 Sam 6:16-20
-
16 [And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.]
-
Machal hated David in her heart. David’s mind was for the Lord and he was hated.
-
17 [And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.]
-
18 [And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.]
-
19 [And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.]
-
20 [Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!]
-
David was joyful, doing the work and blessing everyone, but when he came to bless his household he came home to evil speaking.
-
Today, some women do not think of the power of comforting words and being submissive. Their Lord will give them everything they desire if they treat him well and is attentive to his needs first.
-
Godly men and women do not waste time and make sure their house is in order (not staying all day on social media or playing video games).
-
21 [And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.]
-
David respected Saul, even though he tried to kill David seven times. David was chosen over Saul and his son. Because Michal spoke to him in such a way, he responded as he did.
-
22 [And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.]
-
23 [Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.]
-
David abandoned her by not dealing with her anymore, but he did not get rid of her. She was married to the king, but still did not know how to treat him.
-
1 Sam 18:20-
-
20 [And Michal Saul's daughter loved David: and they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.]
-
She loved who David was until she married him. She did not know how to keep him.
-
21 [And Saul said, I will give him her, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him. Wherefore Saul said to David, Thou shalt this day be my son in law in the one of the twain.]
-
Women do not understand how to learn the men.
-
Even Saul knew that Machal would be a problem for David.
-
Saul believed that she was going to be such a problem to David, that their enemies would have the upper hand. Today, some women want to give their husbands over to the enemy by getting them locked up.
-
Women should not seek to be a distraction to her man and instead bring the best out of them.
-
Sirach 36:23 [If there be kindnesse, meekenes, and comfort in her tongue, then is not her husband like other men.]
-
All of us got the common woman. There is that special one that is uncommon among men. She would seem strange among the other women for her behaviour.
-
If you have a wife after you mind, do not leave her or commit adultery to be with another because of lust.
-
Proverbs 31:1-3
-
1 [The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him.]
-
2 [What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?]
-
3 [Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.]
-
Give not your strength unto women
-
Sirach 33:18-
-
18 [Heare me, O ye great men of the people, and hearken with your eares ye rulers of the Congregation:]
-
19 [Giue not thy sonne, and wife, thy brother and friend power ouer thee while thou liuest, and giue not thy goods to another, lest it repent thee: and thou intreat for the same againe.]
-
20 [As long as thou liuest and hast breath in thee, giue not thy selfe ouer to any.]
-
21 [For better it is that thy children should seeke to thee, then that thou shouldst stand to their courtesie.]
-
22 [In all thy workes keepe to thy selfe the preheminence, leaue not a staine in thine honour.]
-
Give no man or woman power over you while you live. You must keep the preeminence or else leave a stain to your honor. Do not have a woman rule you. The women should be teaching this to their children.
-
Do not allow your wife to influence you and your thoughts.
-
3 [Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.]
-
1 Kings 21:1-7
-
1 [And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.]
-
2 [And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.]
-
3 [And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.]
-
4 [And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.]
-
Ahab was an overly emotional man. Because he could not get his way, he was pouting and almost entering into depression.
-
Naboth could not give away or sell the land because then he would be going against the law of God.
-
5 [But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?]
-
6 [And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.]
-
7 [And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.]
-
A woman is attracted to strong men and leaders, but not everyone wants a strong man to lead them.
-
1 Kings 21:25 [But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.]
-
Because Jezebel saw weakness in Ahab, she was able to move him the way she wanted to. Instead of her knowing and applying the law of inheritance, she played on his own desires.
-
Judges 16:16-18
-
16 [And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;]
-
The history of Samson and Delilah. His wife would nag him continually until he could not take it anymore. Even a mighty man as strong as him, was broken in his mind because of a woman. And he ended up telling her anything.
-
Sirach 8:19 [Open not thine heart to euery man, least he requite thee with a shrewd turne.]
-
We must have in our mind to not tell our wives all our weaknesses in the case it will be used against you. Not just that she may tell it willingly, but that your enemies may use her to get to you.
-
17 [That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.]
-
18 [And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.]
-
Her words nagged him so much, that the Philistines came upon him. This is the same thing that Saul wanted for David.
-
Nagging and complaining leave us vulnerable to the enemy and weaken us. We come home to recharge for the next day, but some women weaken their husband. The women must remember that the work done benefits them both.
-
Proverbs 9:13 [A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.]
-
Foolish woman clamorous – making a loud and confused noise:, expressing or characterized by vehement protests or demands: (demanding, overbearing)
-
To no nothing is to not know how to work her man. She will be destroying her husband as well as her relationship.
-
Sirach 26:13-15
-
13 [The grace of a wife delighteth her husband, and her discretion will fat his bones.]
-
Grace – simple elegance or refinement of movement: (finesse, charm)
-
The way a woman carries herself will delight her husband.
-
Esther 5:3-13
-
3 [Then said the king unto her, What wilt thou, queen Esther? and what is thy request? it shall be even given thee to the half of the kingdom.]
-
Esther was finessing the king for so long, they he dealt with her in such a way.
-
4 [And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him.]
-
The king wanted to be glorified in the sight of other men, which was the difference between her and Vashti.
-
5 [Then the king said, Cause Haman to make haste, that he may do as Esther hath said. So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.]
-
Esther was able to move the king to do what needed to be done.
-
6 [And the king said unto Esther at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed.]
-
7 [Then answered Esther, and said, My petition and my request is;]
-
8 [If I have found favour in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do to morrow as the king hath said.]
-
Esther was still giving the king the preeminance even when he asked what she wanted. She already knew that what she would request would please the king.
-
How we should also be when asking from God
-
9 [Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai.]
-
10 [Nevertheless Haman refrained himself: and when he came home, he sent and called for his friends, and Zeresh his wife.]
-
11 [And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.]
-
12 [Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and to morrow am I invited unto her also with the king.]
-
13 [Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.]
-
Esther 7:1-8
-
1 [So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.]
-
2 [And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.]
-
3 [Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:]
-
4 [For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.]
-
Esther finessed the king with her words. Went as far as even said that she would not have bothered the king with this matter if they were just to be sold into slavery, but they were to be put to death.
-
5 [Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?]]
-
6 [And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.]
-
7 [And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.]
-
8 [Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.]
-
The king had to process everything that was happening. He could not believe the acts of his second in command. And the king grew even more furious when he came back and saw Haman at the feet of Esther thinking he was now trying to be with the queen.
-
For all this to happen, Esther had to be finessing the king over time, this did not just happen overnight. She knew what to say to the king and how to please him in godliness.
-
Discretion – the quality of behaving or speaking in such a way as to avoid causing offense or revealing private information:
-
Will teach women how to speak to their husband. The wife will do what her husband says anyway, so they should either do it willingly or not.
-
It is also a way to avoid arguing with their husband.
-
14 [A silent and louing woman is a gift of the Lord, and there is nothing so much worth, as a mind well instructed.]
-
Some women are silent, but not loving.
-
1 Peter 3:4 [But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.]
-
Women should be meek and quiet in spirit, it is about processing it correctly in their mind. If the man is not doing right, God will deal with them. The wife should be seeking counsel to fix the relationship, not to shame her husband.
-
15 [A shamefast and faithfull woman is a double grace, and her continent mind cannot be valued.]
-
A continent mind
-
Def – able to control movement, excercising self restraint
-
Have control over her thoughts
-
The wife would become irreplaceable.
-
Proverbs 31:10-
-
10 [Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.]
-
A woman such as this is invaluable.
-
11 [The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.]
-
Proverbs 12:4 [ A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.]
-
A crown is something that is seen. A woman like this makes us look good. It cannot just be a show for others. If a wife makes her husband looks good, they will be taken care of. As with the previous example of Esther.
-
Proverbs 31:28,30
-
28 [Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.]
-
30 [Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.]
-
The husband should praise you for all that you do.
-
The reason favor is deceitful and beauty vain because they may only be an outward adorning.
-
1 Pet 3:3 [Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;]
-
The children and husband really see who a woman is.
-
An outward adorning is more than just clothing, it is how you have others see you.
-
A wife’s praise should be how your husband and children think about you. A wife’s desire is unto her Lord.
-
Sirach 26:16
-
16 [As the Sunne when it ariseth in the high heauen: so is the beautie of a good wife in the ordering of her house.]
-
It is in the best interest of the woman to keep her husband as healthy as possible.
-
Learn to cook instead of just buying food all the time.
-
A good wife knows how to order her house.
-
17 [As the cleare light is vpon the holy candlesticke: so is the beautie of the face in ripe age.]
-
A godly man will now leave his wife when they get old, because her beauty would not fade from her in spirit. If a wife makes herself invaluable, a godly man would not take the gamble on another woman. Be as Malcolm X or Martin Luther King where no one can measure up to you.
-
Tobit 8:7 [And now, O Lord, I take not this my sister for lust, but vprightly: therefore mercifully ordeine, that wee may become aged together.]
-
We must age together. It is not all about sex. The wife must be consistant over the years.
-
Proverbs 31:12
-
12 [She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.]
-
A godly wife will do her husband good and not evil all his days.
-
Matthew 10:36 [And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.]
-
Sometimes your enemy will be of your house.
-
When women call the police over a simple argument to use the police against her husband.
-
Sirach 12:10 [Neuer trust thine enemie: for like as yron rusteth, so is his wickednesse.]
-
13 [She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.]
-
A godly wife will also willingly work in the house to be a good wife and mother.
-
The previous generation of women had to work to get her husband. Today, many men just want someone to sleep with where her only worth is in the bedroom.
-
It is impossible for a woman to be on social media all day and be doing something productive in the household.
-
1 Timothy 5:11-14
-
11 [But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;]
-
12 [Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.]
-
13 [And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.]
-
When younger widows are burning are married and learn to be idle because the elder women did not teach them how to maintain a man. The elder women were out instead of raising the children correctly.
-
14 [I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.]
-
This is the reasons the nations speak of us the way they do. The younger women today only aspire to have a body without any substance. They can get a man, but cannot keep one. They must be willing to build up their family.
-
Titus 2:1-5
-
1 [But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:]
-
2 [That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.]
-
3 [The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;]
-
The aged woman must be a teacher of good things.
-
Romans 7:12 [Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.]
-
4 [That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,]
-
5 [To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.]
-
That the word of God be not blasphemed
-
1 Timothy 6:1 [Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.]
-
Servants – The woman were made to be help meets for us. That is the purpose they were made for.
-
Titus 2:4
-
The elder women were supposed to teach the younger women these principles.
-
To begin to build back the nation, the husband and wife must be of one accord with the man in the lead. The wife must follow this and the husband must command this in their homes.
